I can see why this is confusing when your bank statement balance is correct, but bank feed is still showing an older amount. The calculated balance may include the account’s opening balance and transactions recorded before the bank feed was connected. Start by checking the credit card account’s opening balance and date, then use Find transactions to review anything dated before the feed began.
If the opening balance or an older transaction is genuinely incorrect, correct the original entry using the right supporting records. It’s best to speak with your accountant before changing an opening balance, and avoid deleting valid transactions or adding a balancing journal just to force the figures to match.
