Importing txt file error

When importing a Tab separated txt file with lots of data, the program will import the file then freeze and won't show the message that says the file has been imported. The only way to fix this is by opening the Task Manager and right clicking on the first line under the AR file location and selecting bring to the front. This will bring up the window that says import is complete. If I don't do this the program will remain frozen. Is there a way to fix this glitch?
