Import Error

Does anyone know what causes the following error message when trying to import purchases:

"Error -25: Invalid amount."

  • Hi JohnS1

In AccountRight, Error -25: 'Invalid amount' usually means that one of the amounts in the import file isn’t in a format it likes. Verify that all amount fields (total, tax, unit price, discount, etc.) contain only numbers, without dollar signs, currency symbols, or commas (e.g., 1234.50, not 1,234.50), and limit to 2 decimal places. Also, make sure any required amount fields aren’t blank.

A handy trick is to export a sample purchase from AccountRight and match your file’s column order and number formatting to that.
