Our GST PAID reconciliation summary is out of balance and it is out of balance by the amount of the amount of GST Claimed . It appears it does not recognise the amounts claimed during the year. Can anyone help on how this can be fixed and rectified going forward or what we are doing wrong ?

I understand that your GST PAID reconciliation summary is out of balance by the amount of GST Claimed. To address this, first run the General Ledger [Detail] report and compare it with the GST account balance on the Balance Sheet. If these match, generate the GST Detail report for the same period. Compare the transactions in both reports; they should ideally balance. If they don’t, investigate any transactions that appear in the General Ledger but are missing from the GST report.
