Home office tax deductions

When preparing a BAS, how/where do I enter the tax deduction amount for home office?

  • Hi centralhc,

To enter the tax deduction amount for a home office when preparing a BAS, you'll need to include it in the relevant expense category. Typically, home office expenses can be claimed under the Other operating expenses. We also recommend recommend reaching out to an accountant for an accurate solution.

As Earl states, you should consult with your Tax Accountant.

The subject of Home Office Expenses is complex

I would have the Home Office Expenses in the Expenses section of the P&L.
