no undeposited funds prepare bank deposit feature in MYOB Business

As I can't log in too MYOB AccountRight on the desktop at present I am having a go at online. This is the reason why I never use it. It seems there is no prepare bank deposit feature.

I entered 15 credit card transactions yesterday to undeposited funds account waiting to check on the total deposit in the bank feed.  Now I am unable to view the list of transactions in a general ledger listing for undeposited funds. Then I am not sure how you would go about bundling the individual transactions into one deposit amount so that you can match with the bank feed.

Any help would be appreciated but even better would be to get the desktop back working instead of the privacy error.

    Hi Polly_Templeton,

I understand it’s not ideal having to use the browser when you normally work in AccountRight desktop. The login issue affecting AccountRight desktop has now been resolved, so you should be able to log back in and continue working on your file there. The Prepare Bank Deposit feature is available in the desktop version. If you do need to work in the browser, you can use Accounting > Create general journal. Select the Undeposited Funds account and record the required transfer money transactions to move the total from Undeposited Funds to your bank account. This will allow the combined amount to be matched with the bank feed. You can also view the entries via Accounting > General Journals. More information is available here: General journals

  • Hi Sai,

Thanks so much for your response.  I am now back in the browser version. It's a good exercise to try to work out how you do one's normal desktop functions in the browser version. The other thing is that I was unable to find out how to see a general ledger transaction listing for a particular account for a date range like you do in the desktop.  In the above case I wanted to see a listing of items in the undeposited funds account for the previous day.  I found out in the desktop that the total was missing $20 and it turned out there had been another credit card transaction later yesterday to make up the deposit in the bank feed.  Please could you send me a link to viewing account transactions for a date range. Many thanks

    Hi Polly_Templeton,

Glad you tracked down the missing $20. That’s a handy clue for the next treasure hunt. In MYOB Business, you can view the transactions for a specific account and date range by:

    • Go to Reporting > Reports.
    • Open the General ledger report.
    • Set the required date range or period.
    • Select Undeposited Funds under the categories to include.

You can then review the transactions posted to that account for the selected period. This guide has more information about the report: Business reports.

    Cheers,

    Doreen
