As I said in my original post, there is no way to access this under Business Lite with the additional paid subscription of $22/month for Inventory, which according to MYOB sales was supposed to give not just unlimited inventory items but full inventory reporting. I'm telling you - the Item Transaction report is completely missing. There is NO way of searching up the history of an Item purchase. There are only four reports available under Reporting - Inventory and transaction / item register is not one of them. The four reports are basic and there is no way to search the history of an item transaction, except under Sales Reports. Nothing under Purchases Reports - the only link I find is to the list of Items, which gives me nothing. I have sent an email to MYOB with a full complaint about this and have yet to receive a reply, because my client was sold a product that was promised full inventory reporting which does not exist. The four reports are: Reorder; Stock on Hand; Item Sales Analysis & Inventory Value Reconciliation. I'm hoping MYOB can escalate this because I don't think MYOB Sales are selling the correct product. And Yes, I went through the process and Business Inventory is Active under the subscription and my client is being charged $22/month for a product that is useless without being able to look at his Item history and who he bought from, when, where. Looking up through the Purchases transactions is useless because it brings up all the other Purchases and to try and trace the Item would need to open up every single document or search through paper files.
Hi Judy9,
Thank you for your response. I'm deeply sorry for the misinformation I've provided and for the inconvenience this issue has caused you. You're correct that the specific reports you're looking for are not available in the MYOB Business Lite subscription, despite being promised by our team. I completely understand your disappointments regarding the promised full inventory reports and their actual functionality. Your client deserves accurate and comprehensive reporting tools, especially regarding inventory history and transactions, which are crucial for effective business management. I ensure to consult this internally with the relevant team to address the discrepancy between the product offering and the features provided. Additionally, I'll do my best to expedite a response to your email correspondence to ensure that your concerns are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
Please give me some time to discuss this with the relevant team, and I'll keep you posted once I receive an update about this matter. Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated!
Cheers,
Princess

Thanks for expediting. I sent another email to Support yesterday. Just to clarify: client has Business Lite subscription plus Business Inventory (separate) subscription $22/month. He has no payroll so stayed on desktop Account Right Standard for years simply because there were no affordable MYOB products that allowed for unlimited Inventory and Inventory reporting unless you paid for full Payroll as well. So when this new product became available as an additional subscription to fill in the gap, he changed. He/I would prefer if he can stay in the Cloud as of course, was about to upload bank feeds and we have already entered transactions in the new software. It would now be very messy to go backwards. But can't go forwards without the full Inventory reporting.

Additional note; Myob Support got back to me and said
'Advanced inventory management is only available to our AccountRight products. Let me know how would you like us to proceed with your subscription, so we can help ease your experience using our product.'
They don't appear to realise we have already upgraded to Business Lite with additional Business Inventory.
We don't want to go back to the old Account Right Standard offline - no point really as I'd be re-entering & re-reconciling.
The way I read Myob Support's message is that they're not even aware of the added Business Inventory product. I'm rather hoping that the product (Business Inventory) is updated to include the reports because it makes zero sense to only offer unlimited items for $22/month.
I've advised Myob Support that I will wait to hear back from you, as I've got zero faith in Myob Support.

Hi Judy9,
Thank you for your response. I understand the importance of staying in the cloud and the challenges you're facing with inventory reporting. I apologize for the confusion caused by the information provided about the additional subscription for inventory reporting. It seems there was a misunderstanding and miscommunication within our team regarding the details of this subscription offer. The additional premium inventory only allows you to have an unlimited number of inventory items, and this doesn't include full inventory reporting. You may try to check the MYOB Business Pro, which has the item register report. However, it doesn't have the full inventory report and unlimited number of items, which are available through AccountRight. I would suggest, if you can, that you go back to the AccountRight Standard that has inventory reporting and update to the latest version. However, you'll need to re-enter. I completely understand that reentering transactions would be time-consuming and challenging. Regrettably, at this point, that seems to be the best way to ensure access to the full inventory reporting capabilities. I understand it's not an ideal situation, and I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
If there’s anything else I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’m here to help.
Cheers,

Exceptionally disappointing, particularly that for $22 a month – why would a business that needs unlimited items also not require a way to search those item transactions? It’s not advanced stuff in my opinion and is extremely basic accounting requirements – searching transactions.
If we go back to Account Right Standard – according the MYOB products, there is no such thing, only Account Right Plus which at its normal pricing is $136/month. There is no way a small business with no payroll (or future limited payroll) is going to pay this.
If we update to MYOB Business Pro but keep the $22/month subscription (as the unlimited items is still needed) then we get the Item Register report (which looks like what exactly?). This would be (ultimately) $77 a month, assuming the Item Register report will be enough.
Under MYOB Business is there any way to search transactions on a more expanded basis (ie, via item number)?
And can we re-set the MYOB Business back to 6 months for the current offer – because as far as I’m concerned that’s the least MYOB can do. I spent an enormous amount of my weekend trying to find an appropriate report or search method to look up item transaction history to finalise the quarter – and had to go back into the old Account Right Standard to look up history luckily the ones I needed were prior to the switch-over.
But going back to Account Right Standard and going online (which would be upgrading to Account Right Plus?) means $136 a month for a business that has no Payroll requirements?
Or, we keep Account Right Standard offline and I go to the enormous trouble of re-entering and reconciling all the transactions, new items and their purchases etc.
Who can I physically speak to on the phone to give me and action upon items rather than calling Sales again?
I’ve used MYOB packages with clients for 13 years – and recommended this product to Michael. Have also recommended MYOB Account Right to another client at a time when they considered switching to Xero. I’ve often supported the product through my ICB contacts. But this is extraordinarily poor service, sales work and knowledge by MYOB staff about what their products actually do.

Oh, and also as some feedback to whoever you're speaking to but the Item Register report (or even via another menu item, searching item transactions) to me is not a Management report? Why have Item Sales Analysis & Inventory Value Reconciliation as a report, which to me would be a more advanced reporting option? At its very basic, in any Myob subscription you should be able to search Items (or Cards) transactions. The transaction itself is the very beginning of the accounting process, posting to the journals, so why is a search function of the elements of the transaction (item etc) not considered a basic function in all the products?? Just my input.
