Migration from MYOB AccountEdge Pro to MYOB Business
Hi,
I just got an email from MYOB saying they are ending support for AccountEdge Pro from 28 February 2026. I currently use two MYOB AccountEdge files, one for a Trust that buys and sells things but doesn't need a payroll and a second file for a Pty Ltd company that has two employees.
My AccountEdge Pro is V12 so it is very old. I currently use MYOB Business Payroll Only for creating pay runs and STP reporting.
From what I have found on the MYOB support pages, to migrate to MYOB Business I have to do the following:
- Upgrade my MYOB Business Payroll Only to MYOB Business LIte
- Purchase another MYOB Business Lite subscription
- Fill out the migration form and send the migration team my two data files for the two business entities
- Wait for the migration to be complete
Does that sound about right?

FYI MYOB haven't supported AccountEdge or AccountRight Classic for years so the only difference is they won't be confirming your files which means they will become read only. If you would prefer not to pay for a subscription and to continue with your files, there is a third party - FGH Tables - that can assist.
