Myob business on line and Acc Right desktop

Our company runs the same entity on desk top Account Right and MYOB Business on line.

We note that desk top and on line have different functions. We would like to be delted from Account Right and run solely on MYOB Business. We assume this would improve functions. Are you able to advsie if this is possible and the process involved?

Having two systems on the go definitely makes things a bit more complicated, so I totally get why you’re keen to move off the desktop version.

I’d suggest first giving MYOB Business a proper run on its own. Every business uses the software a bit differently, so it’s worth checking that the browser version covers everything you need before you make a final call.

If you’d rather not use MYOB Business at all, another option is to just stick with AccountRight. You can actually use AccountRight entirely in the browser without opening the desktop app. And if you ever do need the extra desktop‑only features, you can still install and use the desktop version (best of both worlds).

If you’re curious about one of the key differences, this article is a good reference:

    Hi sagarneupane,

Sounds like you're diving into the deeper end with AccountRight. You're absolutely right to look into this. The desktop and browser versions of AccountRight both use the same data file, so everything stays in sync no worries. But they're not identical when it comes to features. There are some APIs/features available in AccountRight (desktop) that aren't available in the browser. And in some cases, the browser may support certain newer bits that don't behave exactly the same as desktop. It really just comes down to them being slightly different environments sitting on the same data.

    Regards,

    Sai
