Hi PotterTextiles,
Nice spot picking that up on just the one bill. What’s happening is that when a foreign currency bill is recorded, AccountRight is incorrectly using the local currency value as the “Last cost”, instead of the foreign amount. For example: if the item is 10 in the foreign currency and that converts to 20 in your local currency, AccountRight is currently saving 20 as the Last cost, instead of the correct 10. Which is why you’re seeing something like 400 JPY turning into $400 as the last purchase price. This behaviour is due to be fixed in a future AccountRight version. In the meantime, you can manually override the item’s cost back to the correct amount. It’s also a good idea to contact our team so they can add you to the list of affected users and you’ll get an update once the fix has been rolled out. You can reach them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account.
Cheers,
Doreen
