how to pay 8% holiday pay

We have a closedown at Christmas from Monday 23 December starting back Monday 13 January 2025. Some staff have not worked a year (only a few months) and I need to pay out the 8% holiday pay. MYOB...

To pay the 8% holiday pay in MYOB payroll, you'll need to manually adjust the gross amount by adding the holiday pay as a separate line item.

For staff with less than a year of service, calculate 8% of their earnings and pay it out as "Holiday Pay" without terminating their employment. If paying out leave in full, you can set the leave balance to zero and update their leave accruals when they return to work on January 13.

Ensure that the leave year start date is updated accordingly for accurate future calculations.
