IR File .EMS file extension not allowed
Hi I have tried to upload the normal .EMS file to IR File but this is no longer allowed. It must be a .txt or .csv file. I haven't changed to payday filing yet. I am using MYOB Payroll 2018.1 Plea...

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your reply. I managed to get a solution from MYOB phone help yesterday. The zip file had to be extracted and saved as a csv file. The instructions are below:
- Go to the zip folder (IRDMONTHLYRETURNSXXXXXXXX.zip)
- Click on the folder once, then right click and select extract all
- A window will appear, select the location to where these extracted files will be saved to.
- Click extract
- This will take you into the folder (IRDMONTHLY RETURNxxxxxxxx),no .zip
- Click on the EDF file and then right click, rename to ir345.csv and enter (the file has changed to a Microsoft excel file)
- Click on the EMS file and then right click, rename to ir348.csv and enter (the file has changed to a Microsoft excel file)
- You don’t need to rename the KED file, but if you want to follow the same procedure but rename ked.csv
Log into your myIR account
- Go to my business.
- Click on payroll.
- Click on file transfer at the top right under I want to.
- Select file transfer employer deductions ir345, upload and choose file. Import and click next. Tick the declaration box and submit.
- Go to my business.
- Click on payroll.
- Click on file transfer at the top right under I want to.
- Select file transfer employer schedules, upload and choose file. Click on the next button. Tick the declaration box and submit.
