Count Inventory Search - not working

Hi MYOB

AR 2020.2 Premier version

Count Inventory - search function - works to the extent the item appears but then selecting that item does not produce it in the main screen for counting leaving the client having to scroll down to the actual item in the main screen.

Big pain MYOB -

  • Hi The_Doc

My sincerest apologies for you not receiving a response earlier.

I’m glad to hear that you’ve been able to find a solution, albeit a different one to Steven_M's method. I’ve passed your method onto the appropriate teams for their consideration and to look into further to see if they cant find a way to streamline the process within the software to avoid such a round robin process

    Hi MYOB

I have a client grumbling over this and I reported this 2 weeks ago  - this is an essential thing that worked fine in MYOB Classic Enterprise but doesn't work now - is there a fix or where do I report this as a fault!

  • Hi The_Doc

The Count Inventory function in AccountRight 2020.2 doesn't have an on-screen search option. However, you could click into the table and select CTRL + SHIFT + F to bring up the Advanced Search. Anything you enter will be searched for in the window:

You will then be able to updated the Counted values of those items. If you wanted to search again click into the Search field to type or can select the red cross to bring up the full list again.

      Hi Steven_M

Not working - ok the search box comes up but only the 1st letter typed creates a search -

And selects every letter in the entire list. Type another letter and search empties - i.e. type Gr for grille and doesn't find.

      There is a problem!

        Hi The_Doc

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you in regards to your enquiry

The Advanced Seach functionality works by anything searched in that field will be searched in that window. For example, if you type c all records that contain a c will be searched for. If multiple characters are added to that search it will depend on how they are added. If they are added as Co it will search all traces of co i.e. Compay and Commando will be found, if c o are added it will search for all values with c or o in them i.e. crib, cab, coach, occur, tool or open will all be found.
