I understand that you are looking for a way to edit a custom form purchase type field to 'Purchase Order'. Apologies for any difficulties this may have caused, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
In this matter, to edit the purchase type field as 'Purchase Order' you may go to Setup >> Customize forms then Select Purchase Orders. In the text box, you may edit the purchase type field.

Thanks for your quick response. I don't believe I can edit the Purchase Type field itself as its a data field not a text box.
I know I could insert a text box instead that just has 'Purchase Order' but that won't help when it's a quote or bill to be printed.
I guess when you enter a purchase, you select whether its a Quote, Order or Bill. The form then populates itself from this information. Do you know if there is a setting that can be changed to make it Quote, Purchase Order or Bill?
