I am revisiting this issue and here is the message I am getting on MYOB.
You may not reverse a deposit transaction for a recorded purchase.

The error "You may not reverse a deposit transaction for a recorded purchase" pops up because the payment was applied to an order instead of an invoice. Once the order is converted to an invoice, the system won't let you delete the payment since the order isn't accessible anymore. For more details on how to handle this, check out this thread.
