Invoicing category break down

I know this is a long shot.

We normally invoice clients under one category depending of the work we do for them, but my director has asked if we can break it down further without the client seeing this part. eg we would invoice the client under Quant (total amount) but director wants a breakdown of Quant portion and data collection portion.

It is not necessary for our clients to see the amount allocated to data collection. The only way I can think of doing this is to invoice the client with whole amount of quant then redo the invoice  for internal use so we can see how much of the quant was allocated to data collection.

I know I can do this on the desktop version because it only shows the total amount at bottom of invoice but I use  online version to invoice clients because it looks a lot cleaner and neater plus I have due dates etc set up and it shows PO numbers on the invoice (which desktop doesn't do) but I am also aware that if I split it out I will see that on the invoice.

  • Hi CR62,

I understand that you’d like to keep the invoice simple for your clients while still separating the Quant and data collection amounts for your director’s internal tracking. At this stage, there isn’t an option to separate the amounts internally while showing only one combined amount to the client. If you’d like the client to see only the total Quant amount, you’ll need to enter it as a single line on the browser invoice and track the internal allocation separately, such as in an internal spreadsheet or report.

Thank you, I thought that might have been the case but thought I would throw it out there as a possibility for the future
