Sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. The General ledger reports display all transactions posted to the selected account(s) in the filtered period regardless of transaction type, as such I would expect the service purchases to be listed.
If you're still having problems with this please feel free to send me screenshots of the General ledger report and a missing purchase transaction by private message.
