Hi Flyin
Thanks for your post. If you use Bank feeds you've got a couple of options:
- in the Bank feeds window create a new Spend money transaction for each bank feed
- or, hide the Bank feeds by right clicking on the transaction and selecting Hide, then record a bulk Spend money transaction for the period you're reconciling and manually tick that transaction in the Reconcile accounts window
If you don't use Bank feeds you could record a bulk Spend Money transaction for the period you're reconciling. So if you're reconciling monthly, add up all personal purchases for that month and record one transaction for the total amount.
Please let me know if you need further help and good luck.

Thank you. I have been entering every transaction into the myob spend money screen manually, or if its an un entered invoice, i have entered those. Now when i look at the transaction journal, there seems to be a double up of the same transactions and is putting me out of balance. is this normal for it to look like a double up and will recify once reconciled, or because it is coming through as a bank feed it is automatically allocting them? im confused.

Hi Flyin
How bank feeds works is the bank transactions are brought into your file from your bank and appear on the left side of the Bank feeds window. The AccountRight transactions are on the right side of that window, when you approve a match the AccountRight transaction is automatically ticked in the Reconcile accounts window.
If you have bank rules set up the software will automatically create the AccountRight transaction and match those transactions in the Bank feeds window. Once approved the AccountRight transaction is ticked in the Reconcile accounts window.
From your screenshot it looks like you've got bank rules set up which have created the transactions starting with 1 and are ticked in the Reconcile accounts window. It looks like the transactions you've manually entered start with 3. I'm basing that assumption on the transaction memo. It looks like the 3 transactions are manually entered memo descriptions and the 1 transactions are the bank descriptions.
If that's the case, you'll need to delete the 3xxx transactions by clicking on the blue zoom arrow to open the transaction, then click on Edit>>Delete or you can right click on the open transaction and select Delete.
Going forward, I'd recommend not manually entering each Spend money transaction. Use the Bank feeds window to match and approve the bank transactions with the AccountRight transactions. If there isn't a matching AccountRight transaction you can create one from the Bank feeds window by clicking on New>>Spend money.
Your other option would be to delete the bank feed rules. Then in the Bank feeds window record the AccountRight transaction by clicking on New>>Spend money.
Please let me know how you go with this.
