I am not sure if this will help, but with all cash customers, I type any details I need (Name phone etc) in the ship to section, and I put their name in the purchase order section. This way, I can go into sales register and search for their name in a certain date range.
Sometimes its a matter of making things work (I also use job cards to find transactions by using their rego as job card)
