Hello CHASE
For a file to be reporting with STP2 the file does need to be online. If you only have 5 files that report STP as you mention then these 5 will need to be online for STP2, and the remaining files can remain locally stored.
I have attached a Help Article on getting ready for STP 2 which can provide some more information.
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your time.
In relation to the online files, I currenlty report STP through these 5 files as I pay for the MYOB online services for these files, which allows me to report STP and leave my files on the local network. When I do payroll, I am signed in and the Payroll Reporting link connects to STP.
If the STP2 is only adding a few more reporting items, I dont understand why my current process will not work the same way.
Thank you once again for your time.

You'll complete the move to STP Phase 2 online (via a web browser) so you can integrate with the ATO's online services. This is only possible if your company file is online.
If your company file is offline (saved on your computer or a network server), you'll need to put your company file online to move to STP Phase 2.
This is why your current process won't work.
