STP 2

Hi

I have a problem in that updated to STP 2 in March. 2 staff who are salary sacrificing had the deduction type "NON-REPORTABLE". No issues with update. No message received to say that I had to change the deduction type to Salary Sacrifice "O". Consequently salary sacrifice pre-tax is not being deducted in reporting to MY GOV. Is there a quick fix to resolve with bulk entries or do I have to re-run 52 pay runs.

Very ordinary experience. Tried to call MYOB and they simply hung up.

    Hi HappyFeat,

Thank you for the post. I understand how important it is to ensure that everything is reported correctly. Here's quick and straightforward way to resolve this without re-running 52 pay runs.

First, go into your payroll settings and change the deduction type of the affected employees to the correct reporting category as required for STP Phase 2. After updating the reporting categories, send an update event through STP to the ATO. This will ensure that the corrections are reflected accurately in the records.

    Regards,

    Sai

      Ok Sai

A further problem the salary sacrifice contribution has now doubled. Gross pay remains the same. How is this fixed. Really frustrating dealing with MYOB who simply show no interest in service or resolution.

        Hi HappyFeat,

Sorry to hear about the double trouble with your salary sacrifice contribution. Do you still need help? If yes, you've got a couple of options. If so, you can either reverse the payment or adjust for the overpaid amount. Just make sure to check your payroll reports and the EOFY YTD report first to see if they match. If they do, you’re all set and don’t need to worry.

Feel free to get in touch if you need more help.

        Cheers,

        Princess

This has nothing to do with this post, but I have no other way of communicating in this community ... my question is "How do I start a new post?" The "help" content says click "Start a Post" button at the top right - which would be great if there was a "Start a Post" button at the top right.
