Historical Balancing Bug- Data Repair Refused
Hi Everyone,
I’m seeking urgent assistance with a Historical Balancing discrepancy that I cannot clear through standard user processes. My balance sheet is out by this Historical Balancing 3-9999 amount.
The Issue: The out-of-balance occurred after accounts with opening balances were made Inactive and/or moved between Header and Detail levels. This has created a "ghost" balance in the Historical Balancing account that does not respond to the standard "$1 refresh" troubleshooting.
I have been in contact with support via MOCA but I am extremely disappointed with the outcome. The Product Specialist has refused to approve a Data File Repair, stating that I must "allocate the amounts correctly in the Opening Balances screen" first.
My Questions:
- Has anyone successfully bypassed this "Product Specialist" refusal for this known structural issue?
- Can a Moderator please escalate this to the Data File Services team? The standard "Setup > Balances" advice is not applicable to this specific database synchronization error.
Any advice from the community or an escalation from the MYOB team would be greatly appreciated.
