Include W1 and W2 in BAS and revise

Hello,

I completed my first BAS for the December quarter. The GST return summary included both GST and PAYG items, but the GST report only included the GST items, not PAYG. I assume this is because I qualify for simpler BAS.

When I continued into the lodgement section, it only brought up items G1, 1A and 1B, again because I qualify for simpler BAS. Thinking I must report W1 and W2 some other way, I went ahead and lodged the BAS.

I've subsequently noticed the settings item in the activity statement section that lets me set up other activity statement fields. I have set up W1 and W2 here.

I now want to revise the BAS that I lodged, but when I select revising the old BAS it still only offers the G1, 1A and 1B fields, so I still can't report W1 and W2.

I have considered deleting my GST return summary and report, and starting again to see if W1 and W2 will appear, but I'm concerned that this will cause problems with ATO lodgement.

Any advice, please??

Yep, the next step is to have a chat with the ATO. Once everything’s set up correctly on their side, the right activity statements (with the right fields) will flow through to MYOB automatically.

    Hi Genreve,

Thank you for your response. So just to clarify, I need to contact the ATO and get them to fix it, and then it will flow through automatically to MYOB?

    Cheers,

    Hi Tony2261,

Totally get why you’re wondering about the fields on your BAS screen.

Just so you know, it’s actually the ATO that decides which fields show on your BAS form, based on how your business is set up with them. MYOB just displays whatever the ATO sends through for your BAS.
