Register GST only invoice

Hi There,

Last year we had a car accident. We were not responsible so the insurance covered the cost except the GST component as we are registered for GST. How can we register an invoice for GST only?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers,

Patrik

    Hi trippleo

If you have bill for the GST only then when you enter the transaction you will have to enter 2 lines.

    Refer Ian Chaits postinghttps://community.myob.com/t5/AccountRight-Tax-and-Business/Assigning-Bank-Feed-Spending-for-GST-of-100-ie-ONLY-GST-in/m-p/549083#M9699

    Hope this helps

    Hi trippleo

When we have an insurance claim paid by an insurance Company we show the transaction as GST free as the Insurance companies does not include GST in the claim

    Hi Geoff,

Thank you for your quick answer. The thing is this is the invoice for the car rental. The insurance company won't pay for the GST.
