Trial Balance out of balance

Question

Have found that our Trial Balance &amp; Balance Sheet are out of balance by the same amount, going back a couple of years too. There is nothing in the&nbsp;Historical Balance Account &amp; the opening balances are all correct.&nbsp;I've seen on previous post that it could be a file corruption issue?

Thank you for your post. Welcome to the Community Forum.I would like you to do the following steps:&nbsp;
&nbsp;

Backup the client file
Go to the Setup Menu &gt; Balances &gt; Account Opening Balances
Select an account with a $0 opening balance (note this account)
Enter a $1 opening balance for this account and click ok
Go back to&nbsp;Setup Menu &gt; Balances &gt; Account Opening Balances and remove the $1 balance to make it $0
Click Ok
Run your balance sheet again and it should now balance.
