Hello,
I'm adding to this "feature" request, which is now over two years old with no meaningful progress or updates from MYOB.
The inability to export a list of our contacts (among other information) is a huge gap in managing data. This shouldn't be a complex feature request, it's standard functionality that exists in virtually every business software platform. All of our data should be accessible to export, especially one as important as customers.
The only alternative (that I've come across) is creating a contacts report, however, this only works if there is an active balance. A simple solution in the past two years since the original suggestion could have been to add a checkbox to the "Contacts report" to switch between "contacts with existing balance" and "all contacts".
From a very brief search, I've noticed other requests of similar nature, that also remain unaddressed:
- January 21, 2025: Allow bulk PDF export of uploads
- April 8, 2025 (marked as duplicate idea): Export employees' and contacts' information to excel for MYOB Business web-based users
- August 13, 2025: Ability to export everything
- September 23, 2025: [Export] Report Packs
The status of this request was recently changed from "ON HOLD" to "OPEN", but can we please receive an actual update regarding this (very basic) request? In a recent online chat with a support agent at MYOB (named Bernadette), they stated that the only current way to do this for all contacts is to manually copy the contact details, and acknowledged how tedious of a task this would be. Further, they confirmed that this isn't even a planned feature, and has just been stale since the initial suggestion (see screenshots below).
Two years is an unreasonable wait for such basic, and important, functionality. I look forward to an update on this!
Cheers

2 years later - There still isn't an option to exporting card file data. This includes the issue of not having access to payroll information, including the significant issue of what information applies to each state for reporting 1. Workers Comp, 2.Payroll tax and 3. Labour Hire. Pretty sure Xero has this functionality ?
