By not providing a way to have your own usable backup MYOB is accepting all legal liability if the data is inaccessible. If they are hacked or otherwise lose our the data, or is it's corrupted or the simple fact they didn't allow you to have a copy of your own data without an ongoing subscription is entirely on them.
