QUOTES - Insert Blank Row for Text only

When invoicing, if you click on the 3 horizontal dots at the end of transaction line, the following options are made available:

  • Insert Blank Row
  • Insert Line Item
  • Remove

Could the same functions please be made available on Quotes?
Currently, deleting a line is the only option available.

 

The ability to add Text Only to a Quote is a required function.
Terms & Conditions can vary and notes specific to the Quote is required for clarification.


Having to insert Text using Category/Account Code brings up the GST Code, a $0.00 amount and with limited space, it looks unprofessional.

    Desperate for this function to be added!  Such a pest to use web version for everything but quotes!  Have to be on desktop version.

    Hi Everyone,  If you're reading this please take the time to vote.  Quoting is an important part of business and you never know if you'll need it down the track and currently without the ability to add a blank line it makes a quote look very unprofessional.  Invoices can have blank lines added and it makes sense that the quote can too!  Please vote even if you currently don't use it - Thx

    These are so necessary on Quotes to establish what the job is for - without an amount or GST code when using items!!  Please vote people

    We are changing this idea's status due to low community engagement (comments and votes) over the last six months. The idea remains in our developer backlog, but will be prioritised for review if it receives more votes.

    Definitely - shouldn't be hard to add!  It's why the quoting function isn't used nearly as much as the invoicing - quotes all go out on Word and then have to be recreated as an invoice in MYOB!!

    Please vote for the blank line to appear in quotes as well as invoices - it will stop the need for manual (word) quotes being double handled into MYOB as invoices.  It will allow us to put the same written description we can only add into the invoice at present.  Our tradies in particular need this as they shouldn't have to add it into the comment each time.
