Financial reports showing catogories - Account Right

Hi,

I have created tracking catogories and now wants to create financila reports, ie profil and loss, balance sheet etc.

I tried to trial this with demo file Clear Water, but I cannot seem to find it there.

Thanks heaps in advance.

Re: Catogory tracking - reports

Thank you so much Steven. May I also know how to pull out reports with catogories that i've created.

I have a desk top version 2020.3 and find it hard to extract a report.

Kind regards,

Gayani

Re: Financial reports showing catogories - Account Right

Thanks, getting there.  How do you tie this with your financial reports? for eg. I have two branches A & B, and want to see my profit and loss report in the format of- Total, branch A, branch B. Is this possible?

Re: Financial reports showing catogories - Account Right

Hi @Gayani1

The category reports designed to show the amounts per individual category. For example, if you have Category#1 and Category#2, you would be able to run a Profit and Loss for Category#1 and then a Profit and Loss for Category#2.

To directly your answer your question running the Category Profit & Loss report will show that information as it will show the Total Profit & Loss for Category A then on the same report show a Total Profit & Loss for Category B. Note: The total is the Total Profit & Loss for the category for the financial year, not the overall lifetime category amounts

Kind regards,
Steven
