Can you please add a Multi period profit and loss sheet in the reports as this would make it easier to filter the jobs that you are after for the profit and loss in that period. There is one i know under profit and loss mutli period but it gives you all the jobs together, It would be a great idea if we had one to seperate the jobs.

Is there any way that you can generate a profit and loss multi period report for just one job number?

This would make it easier when needing to seperate the jobs in the profit and loss multi period for jobs?

Hi,

Some  of the Advanced Reporting Add on Solutions will be able to provide this level of flexible reporting on Jobs ( and a lot more) see - http://myob.com.au/addons/category/3/advanced-reporting/

As an example our software BI for MYOB can produce a Monthly P&L by Job. This can run accross all jobs or you can filter for:

- one or a number of Jobs;

- one Job Header;

- one or a number of Customers; or

- one or a number of Job managers etc

You can see this under the try It section one our website www.BIforMYOB.com look for the Favourite Report called  "Job P&L (GL Account) by Month"

I hope this helps

Hi Julie,

There are a number of addons that can do you. You can find them here.

http://myob.com/addons

To spruik what I do, I work for a company which specialises in plugging the wholes in MYOB. Our products are usually free of charge as we make money through customisation, consulting and training.

I recommend you try ExcelReportLink GL Pivot Solution and BudgetLink. Give both a go and let me know what you think.

You can download them from here.

I hope this helps.

Hi Fiona,

This is similar to another Ideas Exchange post, see:

http://community.myob.com/t5/AccountRight-Idea-Exchange/Multipreadsheet-Profit-and-Loss-under-Catego...

At present MYOB does not produce a Mult-period Job report, however some of the Add-on reporting solutions do offer this, including our software Business Intelligence for MYOB.

Any chance of a report that allows us to print out a P & L Multiperiod report by Job No. with the function of having the Year to date and previous year???

Wait in anticipation

Hi Robyn,

We also do Comarison reports of any periods so can handle Prior Year and Year to-date.

However we can also report jobs across financial years so you don't need to add last year and this year together. It may make more sense to report based on the life of the Job (JOb to date) regardles of when it started.  All do-able out of the box.

Our group has 7 practices each of which run under a job in MYOB.  Each month I need to run 7 reports for the 7 jobs and cobble them together into a spreadsheet because MYOB doesn't have this functionality.

What's wierd is that it already exists in the regular P & L section in the multi period report.

It's a shame that the existing functionality can't be replicated in the job section, or that an additional filter could be made available in the regular P & L multi period report to just print by job.
