Payroll is duplicating Base Hours, giving 80hpw not 40hpw
My timesheet reads as Base Hours 40, Time+half 10.5, Double time 5.0 hours. The employee card file has pay cycle weekly and base hours 40. At Process Pay it wants to make the Base Hours 80, although the overtime is still correct at 15.5 hours, resulting in an overpayment of 40 hours. I don't have duplicate timesheets, and can't see where the extra 40 hours is coming from. This is the first time it has occurred.
Resolved! The boss changed the pay rate on the employee card, but noticed the Base Hours was 0 and changed to 40. This added 40 hours of standard pay to the entered pay of 40, giving 80.
