Hi 

Can you connect STP to ATO before 1 st july just wondering how does the payment summeries work then do i still do the payment summaries like last year???

Hi @Zo 

AccountRight/MYOB Essentials will report year to date information for the processed pays for the employee.

So whether or not you do need to process payment summaries for the year does depend on when you sign up for Payroll reporting and process pays after that date.

If you complete the Payroll Reporting process and do a pay (with the payment date) before the 1st July for your employees you will be reporting the year to date information of the pays with the ATO, so there would be no requirement to process payment summaries. Note: if you have terminated an employee throughout the year a blank pay would need to be processed for that employee so that they can be included in the Payroll reporting. Alternatively, a payment summary would need to be produced for those employees.

If you have don't need to process another pay for the employee until 1st July then a payment summary would need to be produced.
