$ Value units

Hi

I am just going through updating our pricing, due to a price rise.  However, I have come across an issue when the cost of the item is in the ten thousands or greater range.  It will only let me enter 4 figures before the decimal place, eg if I want to enter $10,000.00, it will only allow me to enter $1,000.00.  I have searched around settings to find a solution, but I cannot.  Hopefully someone out there can solve this issue for me!!

Thank you

Re: $ Value units

Hi @Monilou1 , could you try entering a calculation, eg "= 10 x 1000", and press enter?

Re: $ Value units

Hi Mike

Thank you for your reply.  I found if I just entered an = sign in front of the figure, it allowed me to enter the full amount.  Very happy indeed! Smiley Happy

Re: $ Value units

Hi @Monilou1 , I'm pleased that trick worked, but of course the field ought to be large enough! Can you confirm what program and version you are using, and whether desktop or browser; and also the exact field or fields with this issue?

Re: $ Value units

Hi Mike

We are using AccountRight Plus v 2022.11.0, Build 2022.11.24.7649, browser.

The only place so far I have come across this issue is setting the price under Inventory - Set Item Prices - Current Price.

Regards

Monica

Re: $ Value units

Hi @Monilou1 , thanks, it's in the desktop app. As you point out, typing just the number stops at 1000, typing =10000 is accepted. Numbers even up to 100,000,000 are accepted, I didn't test beyond that. So it's possibly an issue with the way an edit to the field is masked. Hopefully the moderators will pick this up and pass it on.
