MYOB API

Hi. I am interested in getting my hands dirty with MYOB API. I want to see if I can create a spreadsheet for a client to enter specific payroll data, and then I "put" that data into MYOB directly. I have a reasonable knowledge of programming basics, but don't know the right terminology to explain myself well. Is anyone able to help me explore whether I would be able to do this?
