I made a payment to a casual employee, and the payment has since bounced back into our bank account (incorrect account details). After many attempts I have been unbale to make contact with the employee to sort out alternative payment arrangements. Problem is their super payment was successfully paid through the "Pay Super" function, so I can't delete/reverse the original pay. How do I now treat this returned payment? PRE-FILLED INFO ON ONLINE BAS IS DIFFERENT TO MANUAL LODGEMENT The information pre-filled on my BAS return when I am lodging online is different from the information pre-filled on my BAS return if I were to lodge manually. It is only the GST on purchases (1B) that differs. I have checked and both reports are using the accrual system. I have also manually run the reports and calculated the BAS myself and I come up with the same figures as the pre-filled lodge manually form. How can I find the cause of this discrepancy? Rent Received & Pre-Paid Electricity I have a tenant who direct deposits $150 each week into our account. $100 is allocated to rent received and the remaining $50 is electricity paid in advance. How should I record the electricity pre-payment? On receiving the electricity bill, I invoice the tenant for their portion of the bill. I want to be able to apply the pre-payments to the invoice so they only have to pay the balance owing. Many thanks in advance for your help. SolvedRecording Income and Expenses in a Single Transaction I have received a net payment into our bank account for the sale of cattle, however not sure what the best way is to record the gross value of the sale and the expenses automatically deducted out? At the moment I have entered it via two individual transactions being - 1-Receive Money and 2-Spend Money and will reconcille the two transactions to reach the net figure. My only problem is in doing this, I can't hide/delete the bank feed transaction for the net payment. Any advice on how I should enter this would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Anna
