Employees Pay Has Bounced Back...........However Super Payment was Successful.

I made a payment to a casual employee, and the payment has since bounced back into our bank account (incorrect account details).  After many attempts I have been unbale to make contact with the employee to sort out alternative payment arrangements.  Problem is their super payment was successfully paid through the "Pay Super" function, so I can't delete/reverse the original pay.  How do I now treat this returned payment?

    Hi Leighton

You’re right, the superannuation payment does complicate things a bit. Because the super has already been paid, reversal won't be an option. Instead, we’ll keep payroll and STP as-is, and tidy up the bank side:

    • You can record the returned wage as a Receive money transaction into a wages/electronic clearing (liability) account, so your reconciliation stays balanced.
    • When you have the correct bank details, you can then re‑pay the employee with a Spend money from the same clearing account.

    Regards,
