Reinstating an employee

An employee ceased working in June 2025. Has been paid out and ATO notified of termination. He has now commenced this month working on a casual basis. I have tried inputing termination date and changing name to include 'OLD' , starting a new employee card: every way I try, MYOB prepopulates all former wage categories, and when I deselect them I get a message

'One or more payroll categories cannot be deselected as they have been used on recorded timesheets.'

It then won't let me save any changes. I really want to pay this guy but cannot get the software to work!

  • Finally worked it out: if I select 'manual' input of employees details, it will let me proceed: tip-if you ignore that selection, it goes on it's merry way and populates everything from the old record and won't let you change payroll selections.
