When I use 'Record and Duplicate' after finding a transaction I want to use as a template, the GJ number does not change in the top right hand corner when I change the date and start editing the amounts. I used to do 'Record and Duplicate' but then the new transaction seems to have the same GJ number as the old transaction, and sometimes overwrites it. How do I get the system to generate a new GJ number once I have changed the date and amounts in the journal? Or do I have to find a new GJ number that has not been used yet, manually?? Now I find that the reconciled December 31st balance of my main bank account has been unreconciled, and transactions require matching again. What is going on? Are there other underlying problems? Why does it occur and how long should one expect myob to be inoperative after adding an account? Account not in dropdown I had to create a new Income account for a new sale. When I try to find that account in the dropdown on the invoice form, it does not show up! I can see it in the Chart of Accounts.
