This isn't about getting it right for a first pay. This is about an employee changing their details, for example, changing from no tax free to tax free, or stopping their HELP debt. Before MYOB onboarding, we were expected to have the employee fill in a new form, make the change for them, then send it to the ATO. From all the answers given in this forum, it seems we are bypassing all the legal requirements that the ATO gave us in the past and can "just change it". Is this correct? If so, what is to stop us just changing anyones TFN details whenever we feel like it? Re: Updating Tax File declaration details Hi Genreve_S, Just to clarify, before I go through this step all over again, that this is not the initial "onboarding". This is for existing employees when you want them to check and update details, or in this case, the employee realised he put incorrect details and wanted to re-submit his TFN Declaration form. Re: Update TFN Declaration choices via STP2 Thanks gavin12345, So far the only solution I have seen for this is "update it manually on the card file and it will be updated via th STP report". You are the first person that has agreed that you need to get the new TFN Declaration. Oh well, back to the manual process. Updating Tax File declaration details One of our employees put the wrong tax file details in his onboarding and wants to change them. Normally, I would have them fill out a new TFN declaration form, however we are trying to do everything through the onboarding system. I sent out the "Update Information" link, however he says it doesn't include a "Tax" tab. Myob support shows that it does (see attached), however I can confirm, it definitely doesn't. I had this same thing happen and I send an "update details" request. Apparently there was no info to update about TFN Declaration Form. Processing wages out of order Hi, I would like to prepare wages for our teams for the Christmas Break, however want to pay the weeks over Christmas before I process the weeks leading up to then. I have done this in the past, however am not sure if it affects the ATO payroll reporting.
