Long Service Leave Calculations
Hi I am trying to calculate LSL entitlements in MYOB Business. I have followed the MYOB Business Desktop example. I have set up the example as 7.6HRS x 5 Days = 38HRS (see attached). I have entered the information in the Pay Item (see attached) however the entitlement is not accruing correctly. My understanding is that based on this example and the way I have entered the information, each pay run should accrue LSL at a rate of 1.266 (we pay fortnightly). This is not happening. LSL is accruing at different rates per pay run. I don't want LSL to accrue based on HRS the employee has worked. The employee doesn't always work just 38HRS but I want the entitlement set to 38HRS per week in accordance with Fair Work Aus.10Views0likes1CommentLSL movements
I have processed this $0 value payrun in AccountRight in May 2025 to transfer LSL from Not Entitled to Entitled now the employee has reached their anniversary date. When I run the Entitlement Balance Summary report for both entitlements in August 2025, I would expect to only see the employee listed under Entitled only, but they are also showing a $0 value under Not Entitled also. I've checked their payroll details, and they are only ticked for Entitled under their entitlements. How can I correct this so they no longer appear as Not Entitled on the Summary Report? Other employees who are entitled don't appear twice. Going forward what is the correct method of transferring not entitled to entitled Entitlements, I have another eligible employee to transfer at end of year?Solved39Views0likes1CommentNew pay item and leave accruals
Hi, I set up a new pay and leave accrual item for long service leave but for some reason I had LSL exempt from accruing personal leave, annual leave, super and LSL. I have since processed two pay runs for an employee on LSL and need to fix this. Am I best to delete/reverse the payrun and report to STP or is there a better way to fix this? Thanks CatherineSolved100Views0likes2Comments
