Automatic scheduled reports
I had an idea that it would be good if I could get a report emailed to me once a week with a list of outstanding invoices. I tried asking Ai how to do this and the answer involved getting a MYOB developer account (which seems to be at least $110pm). This cost is certainly not worth it. Would it be possible to add this as a function in the reports section?
Item Sales Reports
Required field NOT available in AVAILABLE COLUMNS When preparing an ITEM SALES REPORT you cannot add the field that takes the "Description" from the actual invoice. The ITEM Description is available bit often this is edited or enhanced on the actual invoice. To work around this I have to export all the item sales into an external database which is extremely cumbersome. It would also be good if you were able to have self taylored groups of reports in CUSTOM REPORTS Cheers Geoff Young NB Attached report created in MS access
Customizable Reports
MYOB need to make reports more customizable as the ones they currently have are very basic & time consuming. We used to use Reckon accounts and the flexibility of their reports were awesome. We had certain reports that you could just setup and they would automatically update when you opened them, none of this having to manually change date ranges etc. Saved a lot of time and frustration.Opening Inventory Report vs Print Preview
Why can't Print Preview open larger like the Inventory report? ie click "Committed" in Inventory item in AR Desktop the report opens top to bottom of screen But the print preview opens smaller. Can this be made to open the same as the inventory report? It would mean I wouldn't have to re-size to see contents of the print preview every time I preview
Additional Filter categories for Reports
The Fields options really needs to be expanded if possible as it greatly restricts the flexibility of custom reports. eg. I would like to add the Terms as a heading in my Accounts recievable and Payable reports as some companies have 7, 21 days etc or for receivables this would be a simple way of ensuring customers have the correct terms in their card files and can be easily monitored each month as new customers are loaded in the system. With the amount of data that MYOB holds its reports system is quite inflexible really?
Quick access toolbar in reports - Save settings
Hi, I recently discovered that I can add "export to excel" or "email PDF" to the quick access menu when running reports. Yay, finally a positive point for MYOB. Yet, to my dismay, it turns out it doesn't stay there once I close the report. Boohoo. What's the point? Please change this so that if I add something to the quick access toolbar, it stays there! I even tried saving the report as a custom report with it already added to the toolbar but that didn't save it either. Soooo much potential. And if you're making that change, could you please make a way to differentiate between the export to excel and send as excel icons, and export to pdf and send as pdf icons? The two icons are identical, and there is no hover message to say what they are.
Report Performance Issues
Hi MYOB Team & Community, Since June 24 2026 we've had persistent timeout errors in our AccountRight file, mostly on sales, Profit & Loss and GL reports. We initially assumed this was EOFY load and would settle down. It hasn't. We're now three weeks into the new financial year and still hitting the same timeouts. We've stripped the data being loaded down to a bare minimum and the timeouts continue regardless. It's also broken our third-party apps connected to our file, as they hit the same timeout on transfer. This affects all users on our file, not one account or machine. Has anyone else experience these issues lately? If you've found a workaround, please share it. And if anyone from MYOB is monitoring this, we'd appreciate an actual explanation of what's causing it and a timeline for a fix, three weeks without reliable reporting has been incredibly challenging for our business at what is already one of our busiest times of year. It would be fantastic if we could have a actual report for when we move stock items within our locations Its great that we can actually move stocks to various locations but we also need a traceability report so we can have on record - what items, qty, user ID of whom moved the items - its very well the admin can move the items but we have nothing to forward the warehouse to physically move the items within our locations I know in the older "enterprise" version this was available but it has not been implemented in the AccountRight premier version Its a very vital part of multi location businesses
