Customizable Reports
MYOB need to make reports more customizable as the ones they currently have are very basic & time consuming. We used to use Reckon accounts and the flexibility of their reports were awesome. We had certain reports that you could just setup and they would automatically update when you opened them, none of this having to manually change date ranges etc. Saved a lot of time and frustration.Extracting data from myob online
I asked the question … “Is there a way that I can just download "all" transactions that have been entered or uploaded into MYBO (Business Lite) as a csv file. I don't want these summarised or grouped in anyway, just the raw data” I got advised that this is not currently a function of myob I find this extremely hard to believe … there are functions to customise reports , why are these not available for all data, across all transactions, and all fields stored in myob. When I raised this question, even the myob Moderator suggested this would make life a lot easier .. so why is it that this function is not available. Does anyone else think it would be useful ? Hi, There are a lot of sales reports but neither I nor the live chat support team, were able to find one that allowed me to modify it so both due date and closed date could be shown on the same report. Some reports allowed the due date, others allowed the paid/closed date but none of them allow both. My boss wants me to report on the average number of days overdue our overdue invoices go. I can get the daily snapshot from the to do list but again, if I 'print' the list to export it, the number of days overdue column disappears anyway, so I have to manually type the numbers into excel/calculator. But if I forget one day, then the data is gone. The report isn't back-date-able. I know I can also add a 'days to pay' column on some reports but I couldn't find any where I could get the due date as well to even do a calculation of overdue days. Since different customers have different payment terms, the number of days to pay is a useless stat for this purpose. Very happy to be proven wrong if this feature already exists. I don't even need the value of the invoices, just the difference between due date and paid date. I looked at both the desktop and browser versions of AccountRight.134Views4likes3CommentsAdd ability to filter detail items by category in Coding Report
There is a filter on the coding report that allows the selection of categories. This works for filtering header records only, and "category" simply relates to the header accounts shown in the report. What would be more useful is an ability to filter the selected accounts' detail records by category as well, so I can determine which category transactions for an account were allocated to. this would allow, for example, to filter transactions on my main bank account that were allocated to owner/shareholder drawings, insurance, vehicle maintenance, or any other category for that matter. This seems as if it might have been the original intention of the report when considering the column headings, but category filtering was not included for the detail records, only for the header records. Thank you, Kylie.39Views0likes2CommentsMore flexibility required in Report Packs
Hello MYOB Developers, I have attempted to setup a 'Library' of Report Packs to suit my client's various needs. In doing so I firstly created a number of different Custom Reports, for example; Annual Profit and Loss, Quarterly profit and loss, Quarterly profit and loss with last year, etc... When a custom report is created you nominate a name for the report (which must be unique) and a description which does not need to be unique. Upon creating all these different PnL reports I have given each a name that has a meaning to me and is unique. In the description field, I have simply entered Profit and Loss Report. When these reports are included in a Report Pack, they should be using the Description field for the Table of Contents - not the report name as that is the description of the report. While I am on this subject, any files that are imported into a report shows in the Table of Contents as it's file name. This should be editable so that it is meaningful to the client reading the reports rather than simply 'FineName.pdf" which is very unprofessional. There is no way to customise or at least have the reports listed as "Favorites" display an an organized manner. It appears the reports appear in the order they have been added as favourites which makes them different across every file as they get added in at different times. An enhancement should be introduced to list them in alphabetical order so they are all ordered the same across all MYOB files given the generic name of the reports. A further enhancement would to have the favourite reports be shown when you hover over the menu item Favourite Reports. This would save you having to go into the next screen and then try and find the report.43Views0likes3CommentsElectronic Payments Register and the adjustable column widths on MYOB Business
It would be good to have Electronic Payments Register report (showing supplier's details, BSB and account number for better review purposes) available and the adjustable column widths (e.g., wider supplier column to show their full name) on MYOB Business.76Views0likes3CommentsAdditional Filter categories for Reports
The Fields options really needs to be expanded if possible as it greatly restricts the flexibility of custom reports. eg. I would like to add the Terms as a heading in my Accounts recievable and Payable reports as some companies have 7, 21 days etc or for receivables this would be a simple way of ensuring customers have the correct terms in their card files and can be easily monitored each month as new customers are loaded in the system. With the amount of data that MYOB holds its reports system is quite inflexible really?
