importing error

Hi Support

I keep getting errors when importing payments and purchases.

We were using MYOB  AccountRight Premier V19.16 on the server..

We migrated everything over to   AccountRight Plus  V2022.3.0   cloud version

Every month I have to export/import the sales, payments & purchases into myob from our POS.

The old MYOB was fine, but now we are having heaps of problems.

Error -2: Account Number is too long.     from my payments import

Error -25: Invalid amount        from my purchase imports

Only the sales seem to be ok.  The Payments & Purchases are all getting rejected.

  I have attached an example.

  • Hi Mickraves

Have you modified your import to suit AR2022 import fields? - these are not the same as v19 import fields. Posting the import file as well as the import log file provides more info about the cause than posting the just the import log.

Also having amounts like $1,014.00 in a CSV file is bound to cause errors, don't use commas in amount fields.

    Hi Mickraves

The import file looks ok to me, automatch won't work properly unless you change the column headings to match exactly the headings as required by AR2022.3, for example instead of 'Invoice #', use 'Invoice No.'.

Fix the column names, avoid formatting in amount fields, remove the dash from account numbers - this should get it all working as expected.

FYI using Card ID or Record ID is safer than using Co./Last Name. Some files have 2 cards with same name - import will fail. CardID and Record ID are unique.

    Regards

    Gavin
