Cannot connect to local MySql 8.0 Instance - Charset 'utf8mb4' is supported by MySQL server 5.5.3 or later.

Charset 'utf8mb4' is supported by MySQL server 5.5.3 or later.

 

Hi I am getting the above message when I try and connect to my MySql instance through the MYOB Advanced Configuration wizard.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

    Looks like Advanced is not compatible with MySql 8.0.  I installed MySql 5.7 and connects fine
