Darryl is a legend! Dan is great too! I have had less to do with Michael, but he does seem to know what he is talking about as well. I would trust any of them, pretty much any of the OG Tall Emu Team are pretty good. The New MYOB staff are a bit hit-and-miss, some of them are great, but you can tell others haven't used the platform for more than 5 mins.

We have had massive issues in the past with Tall Emu, so I have talked to the majority of the Team at Tall Emu every time a significant issue arrives I ask specific questions and try to pin them down on why something happened and how it is going to be fixed in the long run.

As far as I am aware, all our 1 cent discrepancies are historic, I'd say we haven't had rounding issues since last year we run on 5 decimal places so maybe what Advdis2024 suggests will help.

We used to have invoices often being duplicated it then stopped but restarted with the switch to fully automatic a few months back, and we have noticed a few duplicates coming through again although in small qtys compared to previously. Tip for checking on that, we have found most duplicates double export to MYOB then get reimported to Tall Emu. If you export a list of your invoices in Tall Emu to Excel, then do a highlight duplicates in the invoice number column you will quickly find the ones that need to be fixed.

For missing emails in MYOB for sending statements. Tall Emu only exports accounts info if you have a postal address, no postal address means no export of emails to "address 1" in MYOB. Fix for this is to filter your companies and contact by Postal address, bring up the blank ones and bulk update them all. You could export to Excel and just copy the Physical address or if you don't have a physical address all you do is set the postal address country to Australia.

Hopefully other issues will be resolved in the near future.

Tall Emu unfortunately did not tell us to set our price precision to 4.  Our price precision is still set to 3.

I did think Tall Emu must of fixed the issue though, as we used to get 50 different priced invoices a month, now we only get 1 or 2.

The main reason we choose Tall Emu was the fact we can set individual special pricing for our customers.  Uploading special pricing templates has been such a time saver for our company.

The way you can change layouts and filters (adding tags) within the CRM to extract certain data is great and love the bulk update function too.

We have a lot of saved email and SMS templates for marketing purposes.

The main areas of the CRM we use are Companies, Contacts, Opportunities, Sales and Inventory.

I still use MYOB for a lot of our accounting processes.  Good luck with your MYOB integration.

We have been using Tall Emu for 5 months.

In concept it is great and has streamlined our quoting, supplier purchasing and invoicing. In practice we have had periods plagued by MYOB sync. errors that sometimes last for hours, sometimes for days. This is incredibly frustrating. We are in the middle of one now that has had us intermittently disconnected over 3 days.

We can invoice/receive payments in Tall Emu then not have the data transferred to MYOB which prevents us from allocating bank deposits etc. I believe reverting back to invoicing in MYOB would throw stock levels out because Tall Emu is now the stock "master" and the sync is only one way.

Tall Emu is not yet up to the reliability standards of AccountRight and ironically, given it is now an MYOB product, its biggest weakness is its MYOB integration.

We will see out the subscription period, having put a lot of time and effort into learning the system, and decide then whether to continue then.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I understand how frustrating it must be to face intermittent MYOB sync errors, especially when it impacts your workflow for days. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Sometimes, clearing the cache, checking for the latest updates or reviewing your network connection can fix the issue.

We have gone through the same Frustration, but it has been an ongoing issue for close to 2 years :(

You probably would have seen the Email that Mike Nash is re-acquiring Tall Emu, and it will no longer be a MYOB owned company. I have had a bit to do with Mike over the last couple of years, and I am pretty confident he will be able to turn things around.

He's a bit of a madman re-acquiring a company that has had a lot of bad reviews and bugs since the MYOB acquisition, but that speaks to his confidence of being able to make things right for Tall Emu Customers who have endured the painful issues.

I imagine it will take a bit of time, but I'm hoping for good things in the near future.

Like many of you we have had a lot of integration issues wht the Tall Emu-MYOB integration. However, we now find T/E is back on track with Mike at the lead and we are confident that any outstanding issues will be resolved. MYOB was largely responsible for many of our issues not T/E. 

It seems we are getting way less sync. errors now and consequentially much less frustration. I think TE is back on track.
