Job Activity Reporting Issue

When running a job activity report the details of a purchase are not coming through in detail. The purchase has been entered with multiple line descriptions and different codes. In the report it is only summarising the lines into one line so we cannot see the details. How do we get the report to reflect the detail that has been entered on the purchase? MYOB used to do this as a default

    Nice catch on the report view. Yes, it should display every transaction assigned to a job for each selected category and you also have a choice to add and customise the report to suit what you need. If you’re viewing the job activity report in the browser, it’ll first show a summary of transactions per category, but you can click the little arrow to expand, and you should see all the lines allocated to that category. If that’s not happening for you, reach us via Live Chat through our virtual assistant MOCA, or send a support case via My Account so we can take a closer look at your file and report setup.

    Princess, yes we know how to expand the report to see the line items. The issue is that we often have supplier invoices that may have multiple line items all with an associated cost. 3 may be coded to one code while 3 others to another. We enter each line in the purchase, but then MYOB summarises the six lines and costs into two lines ie one for the two codes we have used. This did not happen in previous versions.

    Hi MattGoodare,

     

    Thanks for sending the screenshots. My bad, I should’ve mentioned earlier that the report won’t list each item separately if the same Account/Job is used. It consolidates them into one line. The only way to show each line independently is to assign a unique job number to every item, even if it’s just a simple series. In some cases, clearing accounts can help, but it depends on how many lines there are. For now, I’ll add your account to the ticket we’ve raised with our developers.

    Thank you.

    This is a big problem in the capability to report on jobs, both internally and to clients. Old versions of MYOB allowed this detail. We may consider changing if this cannot be resolved
