If your AccountRight Live log (this is your email address, password, and 2FA code) is signed in into the company file, it allows you to automatically sign in when you open the company files from open company file or from the recently opened company file window. Therefore, it's necessary to sign out every time you close the account. To sign out, go to Services >> Sign out from AccountRight Live rather than closing the account through the File >> Exit button. Once signed out, try opening the file again. This should prompt you to enter your email address, password, and 2FA code.
This change is related to the 2023.8 upgrade, and we're currently investigating this further to improve the experience for you all. At this point in time, it's under active investigation. We'll be forwarding this example to the relevant team so they can remain up to date. In the meantime, you'll need to sign out each time you'll be closing the account.
