Advisor Access - Staff need login details

Hello,

Our client has added us as to their file with adviser access, and the client file comes up in the Manage online file access window, and staff can be assigned.

However when staff sign in to the file, they are prompted to enter in a user ID and password. However if we login with the email address the invite was sent to, they are not prompted to enter in the user ID and password.

The client followed the instructions set out here Add an accountant advisor - MYOB AccountRight - MYOB Help Centre to invite us as a user.

Does the client need to make us an online administrator as well?

Thanks

  • Hi MEJ

Thanks for your post. Are you able to clarify if the staff are not prompted for the user ID and password or if your login isn't prompted to enter a user ID and password ?

    Hi Melisa

It is the staff that are being prompted for the user ID and password.

Our master login which the invite was sent to can login with no prompt for the user ID and password.

    Thanks

    Michelle

    Hi MEJ

You wouldn't be prompted for user ID and password if you're user access has 'This user will sign on with a my.MYOB account (recommended)' ticked in the set up. If you'd like to use a user ID and password this will need to be unticked. I've provided a screenhsot below on how this looks:

    Hi Melisa,

Unfortunately that box is ticked and staff are being prompted to enter a UserID and password.

We have this issue with a couple of files.

    Thanks

    Hi MEJ

Are the users logging into AccountRight or the AccountRight browser ?

    Hi Melisa_D

It happens when logging into both the browser and desktop versions of AccountRight.

    Thanks

    Hi MEJ

To troubleshoot can you please refresh one of the users user access window by unticking 'this user will login with a my.MYOB account' save the window > go back into the users profile > re-tick 'this user will login with a my.MYOB account'. Once this is done can the user login and check to see if they get the same message ?

Do let me know how it goes.
