MYOB Business - Unable to Generate Coding Reports

I usually request coding reports for clients through MYOB Business.

 

These are Generating to my email but when i click the link that is issued from MYOB it defaults me back to the Client File Screen. Usually this will automatically download the coding report. 

 

I have tried multiple browsers and this is still not working on anything.

 

Is there any other way to download coding reports for clients other than using the link via email??

    The only work around i found was to go into each individual client - reports - search coding and download it from there which works but labor intensive when there are heaps of clients coding reports to send out. 

     

    Definitely not good enough from MYOB!!!

  • I spoke to support yesterday 7/1/25 and its a known problems since August 2024 and its currently with software development for a solution, according to the support yesterday there is no timeframe to have this issue resolved and support couldn't provide me with a work around. I was told to wait and see and I'll get an email to tell me when the problem was resolved. For all the money we pay in fees (we're an accounting practice) this isn't good enough considering they are aware of this issue since August 2024 and still no fix.

  • Looks like the coding report function is working once again. 

  • My coding report only works when all categories are selected, if I choose any subset of categories it shows nothing.

    In the full report with all categories, the categories I selected are clearly visible in the report, but I can't choose them exclusively.

     

    I could have sworn it was working a while ago because I was using it to perform a bank reconciliation.

    Hey smileykylie1982,

     

    I gave this a go on my end and didn't run into the same issue when selecting sub-categories. Here's what I did that might help:

     

    • Go to Categories, pick up the sub-category you need.
    • Click Apply.

    That seemed to do the trick for me. If it's still giving you the same issue after that, best to get in touch with our support team on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Thanks for the reply, I've done exactly this and nothing shows, but selecting all categories shows the data.

    I'll submit the request.

    Edit:

    I discovered the issue. The categories aren't actually categories, they are accounts.

    When I selected the linked account "category" all the transaction data for that account appears, regardless of what the actual category of the transaction is.
