MYOB thinks my loan feed is a credit card feed

My CBA business loan account is finally linked as a bank feed and showing status as "Bank Feed Ready". Up until now I have manually imported the account transactions and linked them to account 2-2106 CBA - Loan xxx. Now when I try to select this account as the linked category, I get the following error message:

"You can’t link a credit card bank feed to an asset account in MYOB Business. Learn more (ref. 01069008)"

 

It looks as though MYOB either thinks the bank loan feed is a credit card feed and that is causing the problem, or MYOB thinks that liability account 2-2106 is an asset account. I can't allocate transactions until I save a linked category.

    Hi Mick2024

     

    I see you're having trouble with the error message when linking the loan account to an asset account. Bank feed loan accounts are typically only meant to be linked to credit card ledger accounts in the app. I recommend checking out this thread with a similar situation as yours.
